Departure from the hotel to the indigenous communities of the Tzotzil ethnic group; visiting Chamula first, the guide will explain the fusion of contemporary traditions and ancestral Mayan characteristics that identify this place. Later, we will walk through the paths where the locals walk, which will lead us to the neighbouring community of Zinacantan, where we will visit the church and the house of a family cooperative, where we will be welcomed with a regional drink and observe how the women work the waist loom of pre-Columbian times. After admiring the samples of what they produce, we will have the possibility to go to their kitchen, where if we are lucky, we will be invited to taste handmade tortillas.
