If you have a head for heights, then make sure you don’t miss this stunning cable car ride to the top of Mount Calamorro, enjoying stunning views over the coast and mountains of Benalmadena during the climb. This 3km cable car ride takes you to the top of the mountain, some 800 metres above sea level at an average speed of 5 metres per second. From there, you to climb effortlessly to the summit and one the most privileged viewpoints in the Costa del Sol in just a few minutes. The spectacular climb takes about 15 minutes in comfortable, modern cabins, carrying a maximum of up to four people, connecting Benalmadena Costa with the top of Mount Calamorro. You will pass over the zooming cars of the motorway, giving you a sense of perspective over the sheer scale of the climb. Once there, in addition to being able to admire the dramatic landscape, there are also a range of activities for visitors of all ages. From the summit there are unparalleled views of the Costa del Sol, the Sierra Nevada and on clear days, Gibraltar and the north African coast. You will also be able to enjoy exhibitions with birds of prey, including hawks, eagles, owls and vultures, as well as the possibility of trying adventure sports or of following almost 3km of signposted hiking trails that lead to more locations offering views before a relaxing ride back down to the marina.
