See all of Venice's most famous landmarks on this traditional guided sightseeing tour. As one of the most unusual cities in the world, Venice has a number of world famous landmarks. On this two hour guided tour, you'll visit St Mark's Square, the Basilica and Byzantine, the Doge's Palace and the Church of San Giovanni. You'll learn of famous Venetians such as Marco Polo and some of the history that lies beneath these ancient buildings, churches and bridges.

Visit St. Mark's square and learn the history that lies behind the walls of its most famous landmarks; the Basilica and its Byzantine heritage, the Doge's Palace and its adjoining prisons, that retain the true secrets to comprehend how a city built on swamps became one of the most enlightened cities in the western world.

Then, leave the square and crowds behind to discover the real Venice, enter a labyrinth of narrow passageways and alleys where an enchanting city of meandering canals punctuated by delicate bridges awaits you.

Explore the lively Campo Santa Maria Formosa with its outstanding Gothic Palaces and at the Scuola di San Marco. Learn about the famous trade schools of Venice that provided the foundations of the great mercantile empire.

Tour Information

Tour Availability: Daily at 11:10am except for Sundays apart from between the following dates; 14th November - 21st December, 7th Jauary - 22nd February, 1st March - 11th March which are Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays only at 10am. 

Departure Point: Entrance of the Royal Garden on the water front of St. Mark's Square (facing San Mark’s Basilica, turn right towards the water front and then right again. After about 100 metres you will find the entrance to the Royal Gardens). Customers must be at meeting point at least 10 minutes before departure.

Tour Duration: Approximately 2 hours.

Inclusions: Skip the Line entrance to St Marks Basilica and English speaking guide.

Exclusions: Any other services not mentioned above.

Please note: There is a dress code for this tour: Shoulders and Knees should be covered and entry to St Marks Basilica may be denied if not dressed appopriately. For security reasons sacks, bags and or knapsacks are not allowed inside Churches.
